Microphlebectomy Tulsa

Ambulatory microphlebectomy is a method of removing varicose veins on the surface of the legs. It is done in the office under local anesthesia. This procedure involves making tiny punctures or incisions in the skin through which the varicose veins are removed.   Once the puncture is made a special hook is used to remove the vein. More than one vein can removed in a single session.  This procedure can be done alone, or combined with endovenous laser ablation in a single procedure.

After treatment, a compression bandage and compression stocking are worn. Your physician will advise you how long to wear any bandages and/or hose. It is recommended that you walk after treatment. This reduces pressure in the veins, increases the flow in the veins and reduces the risk of forming a blood clot.

You can expect to go back to work and your normal activities in a day or two.
